New England states are recovering remarkably well from pandemic

Here in New England, we are recovering faster than other parts of the country from the pandemic. All but one of New England’s 6 states achieved a score that placed them in the top 10 according to a WalletHub study.

- # 9 – Connecticut
Rhode Island missed it, coming in at 14th place. However, they are in the top 5 of the “highest share of the fully immunized population”, all of which are New England states!

The lowest hospitalization rate puts Vermont in the lead, followed by Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine, in that order, so it looks like we are recovering well!

In the article, they looked at COVID health, recreation, travel, and the economy, as well as the job market to determine each state’s score.
Speaking of COVID and the vaccine, we’re heading into the winter months and there are places gearing up.
For example, according to a press release, the York County Emergency Management Agency has reopened the Marshall Building vaccination clinic in Sanford, Maine. It will operate Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
On September 18, the clinic will add weekend hours on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
