NANTA carries Nigeria’s flag to glory at UNWTO Summit on Youth Tourism in Africa
The Africa Youth Tourism Summit organized by the United Nations World Tourism Organization Africa Region in partnership with the Namibian Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Forests recently concluded with the presentation by the NANTA President, Ms. Susan Akporiaye, for a paper on Education Profiling in Travel, Tourism and Technology.
Ms. Akporiaye represented for Nigeria at the conference attended by UNWTO Africa Region Director, Ms. Alicia, His Excellency Sen Pang, United Nations Resident Coordinator, Namibia and Theofilus Nghitila, Executive Director of the Namibian Ministry of environment, forests and tourism, who presented a far-sighted recovery plan. for Namibian tourism, after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ms. Akporiaye, a notable youth tourism influencer in Nigeria, brings her wealth of experience as President of NANTA, Nigeria’s largest travel trade association, to navigate, interpret and share entrepreneurial skills beneficial to youth in tourism in Africa.
At the Ministerial Roundtable, Nigeria was not represented as the country plans to host the UNWTO in November in Lagos.
In the different sections of the think tank, questions on the financial reshaping of SME finance in the post-COVID era were discussed.
