Bucks County Halloween Guide 2022

It’s the season of all things scary. Dress up in your best costume and get ready for all the Halloween fun happening in Bucks County over the next two weeks. Whether you’re looking for haunted houses and ghost stories or events for kids, we’ve got you covered with our Halloween 2022 guide.

Fire Side Ghost Tales at Odette’s Overlook

When: October 12 and 19, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: River House at Odette’s, 274 S. River Road, New Hope, PA

On Wednesday, October 12 and 19, experience an interactive evening that will include a fireside chat and Q&A with historian and Ghost Tour guide, Carolyn Randolph. Specializing in the history of Bucks County, Randolph will discuss histories of the town and surrounding towns to shed light on its fascinating past and the bold names whose presence still roams the area to this day. There will also be a psychic at the event who will read your past, present and future. The event is free. RSVP by calling 215-682-2022 ext. 3 and request Odette’s Overlook for Fire Side. It is a first come, first served with a limited number of places.

Haunted Acres of Sleepy Hollow

When: weekends in October
Where: 881 Highland Road, Newtown, Pennsylvania

Sleepy Hollow has been the destination for Halloween celebrations since 1990. On the beautiful 230-acre Gunser Family Farm with fields of corn and pumpkins, you’ll have an authentic Halloween experience. Three attractions are offered. The Haunted Hayride, Field of Fright and Haunted House in the Hollow.

When: October 1, October 7-9, October 13-16; October 20 to 23; Oct. 27-30, 7 p.m.-10 p.m.
Where: 301 W. Bristol Road, Feasterville, Pennsylvania

Come and walk through the most gruesome woods in America, on what the independent website, FrightTour.com called “one of the best we’ve ever been on”, including a graveyard they called a ‘”absolutely amazing”. With gigantic backdrops and a winding, disorienting trail, you’ll see why they were recently named Hayride Of The Year.

Haunted Civil War Tour and Victorian Revival

When: October 22 and 29, 6:30 p.m.
Where: 104th PA Regiment Civil War Monument, 10 E. Court Street, Doylestown, PA

This tour includes two historic locations. At the Bucks County Civil War Museum, 32 N Broad Street, the ghosts of Doylestown war heroes rise from the grave to tell of their life and death experiences in war. At the James-Lorah Home, 132 N Main Street, an authentic Victorian clock honors one of the fallen Union soldiers. As an added spooky treat, you’ll learn some bizarre 19th-century mortuary customs and superstitions. Meet at NOTNorth of Main and Court streets, on the sidewalk behind the Civil War monument.

New Hope Ghost Tours

When: Month of October, Fridays and Saturdays, 8 p.m.
Where: On the corner of Main and Ferry, near the Benjamin Perry Mansion, New Hope

Don’t disappoint our ghosts by missing out on their stories! Depart for Ghost Tours of New Hope on Saturday evenings at 8:00 PM. Meet at the corner of Main and Ferry near the Benjamin Parry mansion.

When: October 22, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Where: Bucks County Audubon Society Visitor Center, 2877 Creamery Road, New Hope, PA

This fun, family-friendly event is perfect for families with children ages 4-14 (but can certainly be enjoyed by all). Groups hit the trails approximately every 30 minutes, so while you wait for the next group to come out, enjoy storytelling around the campfire, Halloween crafts, face painting, seasonal refreshments and more still at the education center! Admission is $5/person (BCAS member), $10/person (non-member) or $20/family (BCAS members) and $30/family (non-member).


Fall Sips – NAC Family Fall Festival

When: Fridays, from 30/09 to 28/10, from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Where: NAC, 120 Pheasant Run Road, Newtown, Pennsylvania

Fall Sips are back every Friday night with live music and fun at the Escape Resort, Restaurant and Bar. All ages are welcome to attend this free event. It is open to the community and includes the entire station and north field. You’ll find local breweries, specialty fall cocktails and food vendors, live music, outdoor games, crafts, and kid-friendly activities. There will also be fire pits, s’mores and comfy seating!

Autumn Festival Weekends at Snipes Farm

When: Weekends in October starting October 1, Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Snipes Farm, 890 W. Bridge Street, Morrisville, Pennsylvania

Visit Snipes Farm this fall for all kinds of family fun. Take a ride in a tractor-drawn wagon, pick pumpkins, visit scarecrow country, meet farm animals, go on a scavenger hunt, complete the straw bale maze, taste cider donuts and more Again. The event costs $10 per person ages 3 and up.

The 2022 Halloween Event

When: October 27, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Where: Warwick Community Park, 1733 Township Greene, Jamison, PA

One of Bucks County’s favorite fall traditions is back and brings TRUNK-OR-TREAT with it! Enjoy performances by The Joy of Movement Dance Company. Roar Wick will be there, dressed in the spookiest costume of the season. Walk through the Scarecrow Showdown and see the winners of the four award categories. Need a last minute disguise before the Big Night? Or are you looking to unload last year’s costumes? Stop at the costume chest and make the exchange.

New Hope Railroad Halloween Train Tour

When: October 8-30, select dates
Where: New Hope Railroad, 32 W. Bridge Street, New Hope, Pennsylvania

Attend the “Halloween Event” or take a ride on the Trick or Treat train at New Hope Railroad. The Halloween event takes place on select dates from October 8 through October 30. the train leaves New Hope station and ventures into the unknown for a 40-minute journey. The Trick or Treat Train provides a safe place for families and children to enjoy Halloween. The 45-minute Halloween excursion includes a live play by Spookley the Square Pumpkin, plus seasonal songs performed by one of the railroad musicians. After returning to New Hope, passengers can trick or treat around the station platform for more treats and surprises with costumed characters. All ages are welcome and dressed up. are encouraged!

Bram Stoker’s Dracula by Roxet Ballet Company

When: October 21-23 and 28-30
Where: The Mill Ballet Event Center, 46 North Sugan Road, New Hope, PA

To launch the fall season, the Roxey Ballet staged its dance adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Roxey Ballet’s “Dracula” interprets Stoker’s famous horror story through a full sensory experience of movement, music and speech with pyrotechnics, sound and light effects. Featuring 16 world-class professional artists, performances take place throughout New Jersey and at the Mill Ballet Event Center in New Hope.

Campfire S’mores and Night Hike

When: October 28, 7-9 p.m.
Where: Churchville Nature Center, 501 Churchville Lane, Churchville, Pennsylvania

Enjoy delicious s’mores around the campfire and go on a guided hike on the trails of the Churchville Nature Center to explore nature at night. Registration is mandatory.

Slightly Batty Halloween Wing-Ding

When: October 29, 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Where: Peddler’s Village, Rte 263 & Street Road, Lahaska, PA

Dress up in your spookiest or quirkiest Halloween costume and head out to Peddler’s Village Slightly Batty Halloween Wing-Ding! Explore the haunted grounds, join the spooky dance party and participate in games such as pumpkin bowling and musical chairs. Prizes will be awarded to all children participating in the Halloween Costume Contest. There will be pizzas, refreshments and delicious desserts. This Halloween Wing-Ding is fun for the whole family!


Steam Pub Halloween Party with DJ Ernesto

When: Saturday, October 29, 10 p.m. – 2 a.m.
Where: Steam Pub, 606 2nd Street Pike, Southampton, Pennsylvania

The Steam Pub Halloween Party with Q102’s DJ Ernesto kicks off Saturday, October 29 at 10 p.m.! Enjoy drink specials all night long, with no entrance fee!

Trick or Treat for adults at Crossing Vineyards Winery

When: October 29, 3 p.m.
Where: Crossing Vineyards & Winery, 1853 Wrightstown Road, Newtown, Pennsylvania

Spend a spooky afternoon, complete with “scary” wine and sweet pairings, like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, M&Ms and Candy Corn. Costumes are welcome and reservations are required. The cost is $35 per person.

Hoppy Halloween Beer Fest at Broken Goblet

When: October 22, 4-8 p.m.
Where: Broken Goblet, 2500 State Road, Unit D, Bensalem, PA

Broken Goblet Brewing presents HOPPY HALLOWEEN 8, the only Halloween-centric beer fest that celebrates the local premiere with some of the best libations available around. Building on the success and learnings of previous events, they will feature the best of local brews, great live music and plenty of space to spread out, all for a low cost of entry. This year, as every year, your ticket will include a full-size commemorative glass to serve as your tasting glass. This is a 21+ event, ABSOLUTELY NO CHILDREN, valid ID required.

New Hope Celebrates High Heel Drag Race and After Party

When: October 30, 2:30 p.m.
Where: Havana New Hope, 105 S. Main Street, New Hope, PA

The theme for our 18th Annual High Heel Drag Race is “All That Glitters Are Ghouls”. Race participants must carry a pumpkin up a hill, decorate the pumpkin, and run back down the hill. A non-refundable $25 registration fee is required in advance, limited to the first 15 attendees. Rain or shine, this is a Halloween show whether you join in or watch! Join New Hope Celebrates and our LGBTQ+ community for the High Heel Drag Race After Party in Havana at New Hope. Everyone will mash monsters and drinks will be available for patrons 21 and older. It’s a long-standing tradition and the highlight of the fall season.


Halloween Costume Parade at The Stocking Works

When: October 29, 9:30 a.m. Parade kick-off
Where: Stocking Works, 301 South State Street, Newtown, PA

Register for the parade between 8:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. Costume judging begins at 9 a.m. and the parade begins at 9:30 a.m. at Stocking Works. The parade will end at Brian Gregg Park.

Spooktacular Costume Contest and Parade

When: October 22, 10:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Where: Bucks County Government’s Front Lawn, 55 E Court Street, Doylestown, PA

Enter a costume contest and do tricks or treats all over downtown Doylestown. Early registration for the costume contest is strongly encouraged! Meet on the lawn of the Bucks County Administration Building (55 E Court Street) for the contest and staging. For a trick or a treat, look for shops and restaurants with orange and black balloons hanging outside. There will be a printed list of participating locations upon check-in.
