Disorderly conduct, public intoxication – A 23-year-old man from Jonestown was cited for disorderly conduct and public intoxication on August 19, 2021 at 6:16 p.m. at 6th St. and Federal St.

Disorderly conduct – A 27-year-old Lebanese man was cited for disorderly driving on August 16, 2021 at 2:53 p.m. on block 300 of Federal St.

Disorderly conduct – A 65-year-old woman with no permanent address was cited for disorderly driving on September 7, 2021 at 1:15 p.m. on the 1,400 block of Chestnut St.

Public drunkenness – A 51-year-old Lebanese man was cited for public intoxication on September 9, 2021 at 8:50 p.m. on Block 700 of Chestnut St.

Registration and title certificate required, driving under the influence of alcohol – Charges of registration and certificate of title required, fraudulent use of license plate removal, driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked, and driving under the influence of l ‘alcohol were filed against Isaiah Zipp, a 36-year-old Harrisburg resident, after contacting police on August 22, 2021 at 2:16 a.m. in the 200 block of South 8th St. Police allege that Zipp was riding a motorcycle and was involved in a minor accident involving a single vehicle. Simple assault – A 17-year-old Lebanese woman was charged with common assault (related to domestic violence) after an incident on August 20, 2021 at 6:29 p.m. in the 300 block of South 5th St. The victim, a 22-year-old woman, suffered an injury from being bitten by the abuser. Charges were filed with the Lebanon County District Prosecutor’s Office.

Simple assault – Nelson Lugo, Jr., 33, with no permanent address, was charged with simple assault after allegedly throwing a stone at the 31-year-old victim, causing him to injure the back of his head. This incident occurred on August 18, 2021 at 7:04 p.m. on the 300 block of Chestnut Street.

Drug possession – Charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug-related accessories were filed against a 34-year-old Lebanese man after contact with police on September 12, 2021 at 3:12 a.m. in the 1,200 block of Cumberland Street.

Theft, burglary – Leopoldo Colon-Ortiz, a 61-year-old Lebanese resident, has been charged with theft after an investigation into an incident on August 28, 2021 on the 1,100 block of Cumberland Street. He is accused of having taken a package under the porch of a residence. This package did not belong to Colon-Ortiz. The victim lost $ 380.00 as a result of this incident. Colon-Ortiz has also been charged with burglary after an investigation into an incident on September 2, 2021 at 11:02 am on Block 300 of North 8th St. Colon-Ortiz is charged with entering the residence he did not have the right or privilege to enter, and stole items inside the house. The victim lost $ 1,080.00 as a result of this incident. Colon-Ortiz was apprehended and brought to justice by MDJ Kim Wolfe at the LCCB. He was jailed at the LCCF in lieu of $ 5,000 bail for the theft charge and $ 25,000 for the burglary charge.

Vehicle accident – On September 15, 2021 at 7:21 am, this accident occurred on South College St. at its intersection with Hergelrode Dr. in Jackson Twp. Unit 1, a 2001 Sterling Acterra, driven by Operator 1, a 27-year-old Lititz man, accompanied by Passenger 1, a 22-year-old man from Jonestown, was heading south on South College St., trader a left turn. Municipality of Swatar

Fatal accident – On September 16, 2021 at 3:13 p.m., this fatal vehicle crash occurred on I 81 southbound at kilometer 94.8 at Swatara Twp. This accident occurred as Unit 1, a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Operator 1 Robert Mesec, a 44-year-old man from Plattsburgh, NY, failed to properly negotiate a turn at right of the roadway. Unit 1 drifted out of the left taxiway, over the yellow fog line, into the left shoulder, and onto the rough lanes. Unit 1 then left the improved portion of the roadway and struck the guide rail. Operator 1 was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained fatal injuries as a result of impacting the guide rail. Operator 1 was pronounced dead at the scene. Operator 1 was wearing a motorcycle helmet at the time of the accident. PSP Jonestown was assisted on site by the Northern Lebanon Fire Department, Fire Police and PennDOT.

Canton of Union

Vehicle accident – On September 16, 2021 at 9:57 a.m., this two-vehicle accident occurred on SR 72, south of its intersection with Lickdale Rd. In Union Twp. This accident occurred as Unit 1, a 2005 Subaru Impreza, driven by Operator 1, a 19-year-old man from Jonestown, was heading north on SR 72, south of its intersection with Lickdale Rd. Unit 2, a 2002 Cadillac SLS, driven by Operator 2, a 54-year-old woman from Tower City, was heading south on SR 72, south of its intersection with Lickdale Rd. Unit 1 started a left turn in a taxiway and was struck by Unit 2 in the southbound lane of SR 72. Operator 1 and Operator 2 were wearing their seat belts at the time of the accident. Operator 1 suffered no injuries as a result of this accident. Operator 2 suffered suspected minor injuries as a result of this accident and was transported via Life Lion to the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon. Operator 1 was cited for the left turn of the vehicle.

Vehicle accident – On September 15, 2021 at 6:30 p.m., this single vehicle accident occurred on I 81 North at kilometer 88.7 at Union Twp. The accident occurred as Unit 1, a 2020 Volvo 760, driven by Operator 1, a 37-year-old man from Colfax, North Carolina, was traveling in the right lane of I 81 North. Unit 1 then left the roadway towards the right shoulder, striking the guide rail. The vehicle then struck an embankment at the level of the right shoulder and jacketed. Operator 1 was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident. Operator 1 suffered no injuries as a result of this accident and refused transport. Unit 1 was towed from the scene by Motter’s Towing. Operator 1 has been cited for driving the vehicle at a safe speed.
