‘Below Deck Med’ Season 7 Cast: Where Are They Now?

Cheer

Under the Mediterranean Bridge returns for a seventh season and Bravo gives us a front row seat to the drama set in none other than beautiful Malta.

While Captain Sandy Yawn will be back, she will be in charge of a brand new superyacht and an essentially new crew. Captain Sandy once again welcomes fan favorite Mzi “Zee” Dempers back as deckhand.

This season’s superyacht Home welcomes new crew members Chief Stew Natasha Webb, Chef Dave White, Bosun Raygan Tyler, Stew Natalya Scudder and Kyle Viljoen, and Deckhands Storm Smith and Jason Gaskell.

The trailer revealed plenty of stormy moments, including a yachting emergency, shipwrecked romances, and a few crew clashes that indicate this season is a bumpy but entertaining ride. So as we welcome new names to the world of Below Decemberk, we wonder what the cast and crew have been up to since reuniting in the Mediterranean.

Captain Sandy returned for his sixth season taking charge of the Home and their new crew. After filming the show, Sandy took a number of gigs beyond the world of super yachting, including giving pep talks and attending the Cannes Pride Parade alongside Andy Cohen. The Bravo star and his partner, Leah Shafer, remain in Denver, Colorado, where Yawn moved to in 2019. The duo recently announced that they will be launching a podcast together called The Captain Sandy and Leah Show. “What are you struggling with? How can we help you navigate the NEXT RIGHT THING? Captain Sandy wrote on Instagram, apparently making the show centered around self-help and life advice.

Natasha Webb – Chief Stew

Natasha Webb, or as she goes, “Tash” rules from West Yorkshire, England, and has over a decade of yachting experience. The new chief stew has done a lot since the show stopped filming. Webb found herself stricken with the COVID-19 virus, falling ill in December during a trip to Dubai. Since recovering, Tash has certainly taken a liking to television after filming for a comedy series titled, Be careful. Natasha also works as the CEO of Indie Pearl, a yachting recruitment company, which has grown to two employees, Webb shared on Instagram, proving to be a very busy person.

Whereas Bunder the Med Bridge hasn’t always been so lucky when it comes to his chef choices, it seems chef Dave White knows what he’s doing. The UK-born culinary artist has countless years of cooking experience under her belt, including opening her own seasonal French restaurant. After filming, Dave underwent spinal surgery following a back injury. Since then, White has remained committed to being a leader, but has also embarked on a physical and mental journey as he prepares for his ascent of Mount Everest in 2023.

Raygan Tyler joins the Under the Med Bridge team as boatswain this season. While Malia White will no longer appear on our screens, it’s safe to say that Raygan will bring a much different vibe to her predecessor. Tyler rules from Essex, England, and is officially the second female boatswain to work alongside Captain Sandy. Rumors have already started circulating that Raygan doesn’t finish the season and is eventually replaced. According to the r/belowdeck Reddit thread, Raygan reportedly left Home before she was supposed to, resulting in Courtney Veale returning last season. It seems that Raygan prefers to live his life in private, as his social media remains limited to the public.

Natalya Scudder is sure to bring her Aussie charm aboard this season’s Home by taking on the role of first stew. Scudder wasted no time returning to Australia after filming the series, however, she didn’t stay too long. Natalya caught the travel bug, flying to exotic destinations such as Bali, Ibiza and Cannes, to name a few. It’s obvious that Scudder is enjoying the spotlight as she now takes on the role of both reality TV personality and influencer. The Under the Med Bridge The actor has been spotted boarding private jets, posing in front of lavish Lamborghinis and sipping champagne in Cannes. At first glance, Natalya is currently single, as she prefers to “catch flights, not feelings”.

Kyle Viljoen joins this season from Under the Med Bridge like a stew and it’s definitely fit for the job. While Kyle was born and raised in South Africa, he has since moved to New York. Earlier this year, Kyle posted the cutest photo of him and his partner, Zachary, after they made the decision to move in together. Since then, Kyle has lived his best life in the Big Apple, while traveling to a range of dream destinations across the Americas, including Vermont, Colorado and Costa Rica.

Storm Smith is often described as a “modern day pirate”, as he brings his South African flair and adventurous vibe on board. After finishing filming, Storm went from yachting to globetrotting, taking part in deep dives in Florida, treks in Sri Lanka and snorkeling in the West Indies before returning home for a quick visit. Today, Smith resides in Italy, enjoying all the beautiful country has to offer, including trips to the Amalfi Coast and Lake Como. While Italy may not be his forever home, it’s safe to say that Storm, who is a self-proclaimed olive addict, isn’t going to be settling down any time soon.

Jason Gaskell – Deckhand

Jason Gaskell comes aboard the Home on his very first superyacht experience. The Florida Keys native spent a decade working in finance before heading to a world of living and working at sea. Since the show ended, Jason has also caught the travel bug by traveling to a range of breathtaking locations, including the Seychelles and the French Alps, by ScreenRant. While Gaskell keeps his social media private, he’s focused on making his business public. Jason owns and runs his own apparel company, called Sextant Sailing, which caters to sailing, travel and custom nautical apparel.

Mzi “Zee” Dempers – Deckhand

Fan-favorite deckhand Mzi “Zee” Dempers returns for a second season, and happily so. The South African yachtie is the only returning actor alongside Captain Sandy, making it clear that he is a Under the bridge force to be reckoned with. Zee has since returned home to Cape Town, but not before venturing to a few stellar locations including Paris and Nice. Although he’s grown up, the Bravo star has moved away from social media for a bit, but rest assured, he’s made a comeback. “Hey guys, I know it’s been a while! I’ve been super oblivious to messages and things, but I just got home to enjoy the summer with friends, family and getting into a new routine So I’ve been off social media, but I’m back on it,” Zee wrote. Meanwhile, Dempers managed to reunite with former castmates Courtney and Lloyd in his hometown of Western Cape, a reunion we didn’t know we needed so badly.
